Absolutely loved my hair post appointment! Came in extremely unhappy and unconfident and my curly hair was dealt with perfectly and i was taken great care of to ensure my hair stayed healthy and that i get the results i wanted! Loved it!!

Melissa is a marvelous colorist and stylist! I met her for the first time today and she listened carefully to all of my requests. She gave me perfect color, a wonderful (bob) cut and an excellent blow out. Melissa also massaged my head so well when she was shampooing my hair and gave me several tips about how to treat my fine and thinning hair. Nice! The price is a little steep, but “you get what you pay for” and this is the highest quality. I will definitely be back! Salon Essence is sparklingly clean and conveniently located just down the hill from where I live in Belmont! I am so happy to find this place!

Had a great first haircut with Melanie (owner). She took my shaggy overgrown locks and reshaped really nicely, great advice (and demonstration) of how to diffuse my curly hair properly, recommended the right product. I’m not a big product person or taking time to style, she met me where I am and recommended things I can actually do. I’ll definitely be back!

Always a great experience, and I especially like how Adriana remembers what we did during the previous visit and checks to see if I want the same or make any adjustments, and I also appreciated the follow up afterwards to ensure that I was still happy the next day and did not have “buyer’s remorse” ?

I am a bit upset because I had a full head of highlights done a month ago that I liked. However, I had my roots done yesterday and they are very dark and have effectively covered all of the pretty highlights.

I have been going with Melanie for at least 6 years and I love her. She gives such attention to me as a client and is great with my very fine hair. She is happy to try new things when I am up for a change but just as happy when I love what she has been doing. All in all a great experience.
